A £340,000 loan from Unity supported Phases in their triple goal of bringing empty houses back into use. They also provide construction training for marginalised people and providing social housing for homeless families. It was used to purchase and refurbish three empty homes, providing housing for 16 people.
Glenn Heaton is the Project Manager at Phases. He said “these three refurbished properties have been snapped up by families in the Littlehampton area who were previously in overcrowded or sub-standard accommodation. The loan from Unity supplemented our funding from the Government’s Empty Homes Community Grants Fund to make it all possible.”
