Cynon Taf Community Housing Group is a ‘not for profit’ organisation. They provide housing and support for the people and communities where they work. By offering affordable housing to people on low incomes, they make a real difference to peoples’ lives.
Utilising a loan from Unity Trust Bank, the registered social landlord plans to improve existing stock and build over 80 new homes to add to the 1,850 homes the Group already manages in the east and south of the county of Rhonnda Cynon Taff.
Michelle Reid, Chief Executive of Cynon Taf commented on Unity’s support:
“Unity’s loan facility enables us to work with other partners to secure the disused block of flats. Together, we can transform it into a much-needed and vibrant supported housing project for people who might otherwise become homeless. The resettlement flats and training facilities delivered in our local community are of extremely high quality. Staff offer hands-on practical advice and support to people so they can learn how to successfully maintain their own tenancy.
“We’re grateful to the team at Unity for their support, advice, and belief in everything we do. It’s great to have partners who share your vision and values.”
