Canopy Housing renovates empty homes with the help of volunteers and homeless people, who then move into the properties having created good quality homes for themselves. This brings properties back in to use, addresses housing issues and also helps people to develop construction skills. The project creates employment and regenerates disadvantaged communities. A £256,000 loan from Unity helped to purchase 12 properties to be brought back to good use.
