Colin Fyfe, CEO at Unity Trust Bank, has been elected to join the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) Council, joining a distinguished group of leaders who are helping to shape the region’s business landscape.

Colin will contribute to the Council’s role in steering the Chamber’s activity, working alongside the GBCC policy team to drive and promote their work, while voting on campaigns that will affect the local business community.

Colin is one of eight newly-elected leaders to join the 29-member Council, who each represent various sectors, including manufacturing, legal services, arts and sustainability.

Colin said: “As a bank focused on creating positive social impact, we understand the importance of supporting local businesses to build strong, sustainable communities.

“This appointment provides an excellent opportunity for Unity to join the Chamber in its mission to foster economic growth and drive prosperity across Greater Birmingham.

“I look forward to working alongside fellow councillors to support this vision and champion the development of local business.”

With our headquarters in Brindleyplace, Unity is proud to be an active member of the Chambers alongside a community of organisations that are shaping the future of business in the region.

In 2023, Unity Trust Bank was named as GBCC’s Business of the Year, and went on win the regional Community Champion category in the annual British Chambers of Commerce Awards.

In 2024, we were honoured with the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development for our commitment to delivering positive impact in local communities and adopting socially-responsible business practices.
