Unity Trust Bank has been named a regional winner in the British Chambers of Commerce’ annual Chamber Business Awards 2023.
Unity was recognised in the Community Champion award category after winning Business of the Year and Excellence in the Contribution to the Community at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce annual awards earlier this year.
This award recognises organisations that facilitate community engagement and demonstrate the power of giving back. Unity will now go through to the national final next month alongside nine other regional winners.
Deborah Hazell is the CEO at Unity Trust Bank. She said: “As a bank with a social conscience, we’re delighted to be selected as a Community Champion regional award winner.
“We’re committed to using our lending sensibly and in a way that makes a positive difference in communities across the UK.
“We aim to be a role model for how to drive social impact without compromising financial returns. These awards are testament to our achievements.

The Chamber Business Awards is one of the showpiece events in the British Chambers of Commerce’ calendar.
They aim to recognise and promote the best of British businesses through a series of regional heats. It culminates in a campaign to showcase BCC’s winning businesses on an international stage.
The national winners will be announced on Wednesday 18th October.
